Sustainability at Yubico

This page provides an overview of Yubico’s sustainability work. For the full statutory sustainability report, please refer to the Annual Report 2025, which includes the complete sustainability section starting on page 30.

Our approach

Yubico’s sustainability strategy is anchored in five focus areas that guide our commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters:

  • Climate and environmental responsibility
  • Inclusive workforce and employee development
  • Value chain and worker protections
  • Ethical governance and responsible partnerships
  • Leadership in cybersecurity and digital trust

These areas were identified and validated through a Double Materiality Assessment (DMA), forming the basis for how we assess and report on material impacts, risks, and opportunities. For more information about the DMA, please see our Annual Report 2025 (page 37).

Reporting framework

The statutory sustainability report covers Yubico AB and its subsidiaries for the financial year 2025, prepared in accordance with the Swedish Annual Accounts Act. Yubico is actively monitoring developments in sustainability reporting regulation — including the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) — to ensure alignment as requirements evolve.

A note on GHG emissions data

The most significant area of estimation uncertainty in our reporting relates to Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions. Due to limitations in supplier-specific data availability, we apply a combination of spend-based, activity-based, and average-data methodologies to produce the most accurate estimates possible. We are committed to improving the granularity of this data over time.

During 2025, Yubico completed a full GHG inventory across all 15 Scope 3 categories, establishing 2024 as our new emissions base year.
